The Pump Drill is a straight shaft with a flywheel that works by perpetual motion.   This tool was traditionally used by several different groups.   The sets come with an instructional sheet and some shell pieces which can be drilled.   Choose between a permanetly affixed single steel bit, a T-shaped Stone Bit, or multiple small stone bits that you affix yourself.   Additional bits are offered also for sale on the Flaked Tools page.   Other available options involve the flywheel construction and size of the finished product, including a small toy version specifically for kids.

This is a composite tool which is a replica of the legendary Aztec Obsidian Sword.   It is a long  (approximately 2 feet)  straight piece of hard wood in which shaped flakes of obsidian have been inserted in a groove down the side.   The handle is leather wrapped with a leather wrist loop.   Available in two varieties, one with a point on the end  (pictured)  and the other more traditional type without this point.   The blades are not true blades but modified percussion flakes.   The set of twelve blades are approximately three inches long each.
